2020.06.19. Memorial to Confederate Soldiers & Sailors,

Raleigh, North Carolina USA

Two bronze statues that sat on the larger structure of the Memorial to Confederate soldiers and Sailors Monument were toppled by protestors on Juneteenth and dragged through the streets. One was hung from a lampost, and as the night wore on one was carried away by police on a golf cart.

On 2020.06.20 the rest of the monument, including the base, was removed by the city.
