On 2020.07.23 the Junipero Serra that stood in front of Ventura City Hall was removed and placed in storage with plans to move the statue to the Mission San Buenaventura, a mission that Junipero Serra founded. The council also decided to remove a wooden statue of Serra from inside City Hall and put it in storage until it's decided where it will be relocated.
