2020.07.04. Christopher Columbus, Baltimore, Maryland USA
Following the 4th of July protests, the Christopher Columbus monument in Baltimore, Maryland was toppled and rolled into the Inner Harbor.
Two days later, the monument was dredged from the harbor with the efforts of both cranes and divers. These private companies were hired by groups including the Associated Italian American Charities of Maryland.
The monument has been moved to private storage with the intention to repair it and display it elsewhere.
